Character Name: Lucina
Character Age: Somewhere between 18-20
Canon: Fire Emblem: Awakening
Canon Point: Post-game
History: Lucina's wiki page | Fire Emblem: Awakening wiki page
Personality:
"I often gaze at the stars. They seem brighter now than they did in the future."

When meeting Lucina for the first time, one might notice the serious and mysterious tone she possesses thanks to the future she grew up in. If Lucina had been living in a happier time, the future she wishes for her present time, she may have grown up a bit more carefree. However, thanks to growing up in such a dark time, Lucina has a bigger and better sense of duty; she strives to make the world a better place, because no one deserves to live in a broken world like her’s. To her, no one should suffer the fate that her future did.

Lucina’s full of mystery when she first sets foot in the past. She does not say much to Chrom and the others when she’s in her Marth persona and speaks in a harsh tone, warning them that something wicked will come along and that she had no time to talk. It’s no surprise for her to speak like that; not only is she a visitor from the future and didn’t intent to reveal her identity ever to her father, but she takes her mission very seriously. After all, if Grima wins in the past then all hope is lost. She would have lost her father again and the world would be in flames and chaos.

“...... After your murder and Grima's return, I took the name Marth and fought back. I prayed to the Hero-King for a small part of the strength he used to save the world. But I need this subterfuge no longer. I choose to fight as Lucina now. The name that reminds me of the strength in the man and woman who chose it.”

Once Lucina’s identity is revealed, she becomes a bit more open. Her personality does not do an entire 360 but other sides show a bit more after her drops her Marth persona and fights as Lucina. In her support conversations with her mother, she revealed that she has a rather unique taste for fashion ( meaning that someone would rather get better fashion advice from a rock ). She enjoys shopping and the like, at least shopping for her mother.

In her supports with her father, she showed a very hero-worshipping side, as she admired him greatly. She purposely made their spar fight a draw so she could spend more time with him. She also expresses how she feels excited when his future self revealed secrets to her, even if they were small and boring. The only story he had yet to tell her was how he met Lucina’s mother, and teased him by saying he was afraid of losing a fight to her ( since she said that if she won a spar much he had to tell her ). She’s very close with her father and is happy that she gets to know him in the past since she never got to in the future.

Lucina loves her parents very much, but she feels like if she stays in the present after Grima is defeated, she would be a burden to them both, especially to Chrom since he would have another woman by his side, resulting in rumors and gossip. She expresses jealousy to her mother about her younger self, saying that she envied the fact that her younger self would get to know both of her parents. She realizes that her parents do love her after they tell her so and she expresses her joy with tears.

Lucina longs to be normal. Not exactly “throw-away-her-crown-and-live-a-peasant-life” but a normal life without any destruction and fighting. Because of how much death she’s seen, Lucina dislikes the idea of death in general even the noble ones, the ones that include sacrificing and such. In her support conversation with her siblings when they get in trouble for freaking out over a bug, she agrees with her sibling when they remark about how them getting in trouble reminded them of being a “normal family” for once.

While she still has a serious tone, Lucina sometimes shows a childish and denser side. In her barracks description, it says straight out that she is the least likely to get a joke. If the avatar is a female unit and not married to Chrom, Lucina expresses some jealousy towards her as she’s afraid that she might try and steal her father from her and her mother. This results in Lucina following the female avatar around, making sure that she doesn’t try and “seduce” Chrom. She then freaks out when the female avatar says that she was going to tell Chrom all about it, which shows that she does not want to disappoint her father.

She seems to have a sadistic side, shown in her S support conversation with Inigo if they are not siblings. She laughs about how she could imagine Chrom cutting Inigo into bloody bits ( “You were worried about Father?! Ha ha ha! I can just picture him receiving you at the castle, broadsword across his lap! Ah ha! I can't help it! Imagine Father chopping you into bloody bits! Heh ha ha ha!” ).

Lucina wants to not only be like her father, but to be like the Hero King Marth since she took up his name. Tiki tells Lucina in their support that she’s a lot like him – “You remind me of him—you inspire trust and even love among your comrades. As long as you never give up, I have no doubt you will honor the name of Marth.” Lucina had started to realize that people look up to her as well, which only provokes her to work harder so that every ally of her’s can achieve their own dream.

There are some negatives to Lucina as well because she is not a perfect person. She doesn’t seem to take care of herself mentally, as she’s always worried about her father and not trusting everyone around her because she’s afraid they might be her father’s murderer, because the only thing she knows about how her father died is that he was murdered by a close friend ( “That is why I placed myself here in his army—because I trust no one close to him.” ). She can also have a bit of a temper if provoked or really annoyed but that’s covered up by her calmness. She is also not the most optimistic person around, as she does talk about her dark future a lot, but she will never give up hope.

Overall, Lucina is a hopeful girl, a hopeful girl who wishes to stop the fighting and live a peaceful life after Grima is defeated and create a future where everyone is happy. That is her goal and dream and she will stop at nothing to achieve it.

Character NAME: Lucina
Canon & MEDIUM: Fire Emblem: Awakening
Canon PULL-POINT: Chapter 16, after speaking with Tiki.
Character AGE: It’s not stated directly, but Lucina is somewhere around 16-20. She’s old enough to get married and she’s spent at least two years in the present.
Character ABILITIES:
Lucina’s starting class is Lord and can reclass to Great Lord with a masterseal. She is typically an offensive force for the army and her stats almost mirror her father’s, regardless of who her mother is. In a sense, they have similar fighting styles and abilities. Like other future children, Lucina can inherit skills learned by her parents, or she can learn them by reclassing to another class with a second seal.

Dual Srike: Increases the trigger rate of Dual Strikes by 10%. This basically means it increases the chance for a Dual Strike ( which is when the person they’re partnered up with attacks right after their partner ) to happen by 10%
Charm: A support skill. Gives all units with a 3 square radius for 10% support bonus to Accuracy and Avoid.
Aether: Uses Sol and Luna in succession, meaning it’s an attack that uses twi skills at the same time. Sol restores her HP by how much damage she gave the enemy and Luna halves the enemy’s defense and resistance.
Rightful King: Increases the trigger rate of the unit’s skills by 10%. This basically means the chance of her using Aether or one of the other above skills will increase by 10%.
Galeforce: Allows the unit to act again upon defeating a foe. For Lucina in the setting, this means she could act faster after defeating a foe.

Character HISTORY: Fire Emblem: Awakening | Lucina’s page

In a possible future, Chrom is killed by the hands of his tactician and because of this and the possession of the tactician, Grima’s resurrection happens which leads the end of the world. One by one, Chrom’s team – The Shepherds – are killed as well, leaving their children to fend for themselves. All of the land, saved for a few spots, have been overran by Grima’s soldiers, Risen. No one is safe; everyone has to fight in order to survive. As stated, there are barely any safe spots for the living to reside in. Humanity is close to extinction.

This is the future Lucina comes from.

Lucina is the daughter of Chrom. Before his death, she receives Falchion, the family’s treasure blade. Once her aunt, Lissa, dies, Lucina claims the throne and becomes the Exalt, trying her best to fight against Grima and his army. It seemed hopeless at first and all of humanity seemed doomed – there were too many Risen about and not everyone was a skilled fighter.

Naga, the Divine Dragon, offered a solution. She had enough power to send Lucina and her friends, the children of the former Shepherds, to the past. That way, they could stop Grima’s resurrection there and avoid this dark future. With a mask she received from her friend Gerome, she takes on ther Hero King’s name and travels to the past. However, she is separated from her friends and encounters her family right when she exits the Outrealm Gate.

Her identity isn’t revealed until two years after Chrom becomes Exalt, after the former Exalt’s, Emmeryn, death and King Gangrel’s defeat and after they officially go to war with Valm. She is revealed to be Chrom’s daughter and states why she traveled to the past. She joins Chrom’s army to help defeat Walhart and win the current war going on so they could focus on stopping Grima’s resurrection.

» EXSILIUM INFORMATION
Chosen WEAPON: Lucina will be using Falchion, her family’s sword. The blade was forged from Naga’s fang after her death. Falchion goes back many years ago, when the hero Anri used it to kill Medeus, the Dark Dragon. Lucina’s version of Falchion is known as the Parallel Falchion, which was thought to be another Falchion but it’s actually the same sword Chrom has, only passed down to her. The sword can never break, dull or rust and only those of royal blood can use it. It should be noted that it is very effective against Dragon units.

Character INVENTORY: Lucina will be bringing the clothes and armor on her body, an Elixir ( fully restores the user’s HP and can be used three times ) and of course her weapon of choice, which is Parallel Falchion.

First PERSON:
I’m… Well, this is new.

[ Lucina taps on the glass a bit, squinting into it. ] So it’s a way of communication? I’ve never seen anything like it before. There’s nothing like this back in Ylisse. [ Ah, she’s rambling now. ] Oh, I guess I should start with an introduction.

My name is Lucina. [ She bows her head. ] I apologize for rambling. I was wondering if anyone has seen anyone named Chrom around. It’s important that I find him right away. Is it possible to look him up with this device?

… To be honest, I think it’ll better that I speak with him in person. [ Considering she’ll probably break this thing if she uses it any further. She does have a talent for smashing holes in the wall after all. ] I'm also looking for a few others. If anyone from Ylisse is here, or of anyone knows anyone from Ylisse, please do speak up.

Thank you for your time. I appreciate it.

Third PERSON:
This whole situation terrified Lucina.

Being thrust in a new world with none of her companions and expected to fight in another war alone was something that never really occurred to her. Fighting in the war against the conqueror was easy for her because she had everyone by her side. She had her family and friends along for the ride and they always calmed her down. But this was different.

Now she was alone.

Lucina decided to take her mind off of it by shopping now that she had some money. She hadn’t been in the city for long, maybe a good month or so. By now, she should have been over this thought of being alone. For the most part, she had come to terms that she wasn’t entirely alone in this; there were other people around. But they weren’t family. They weren’t family. They were strangers.

She wondered how her mother was doing as she shuffled through the clothing isle. If she was home right now, she could have been shopping with her and trying to pick clothes out for her. The memory made her smile for a mere minute before it faded and the feeling of loneliness came back. Her mother wasn’t here either. Her father wasn’t here. No one was here.

Lucina sighed, moving away from the clothes. Maybe shopping was a bad idea. It had only brought memories back. She needed to train, make sure her skills didn’t get rusty while she was here, and to clear away that terrible feeling. She didn’t want to be here. The princess would fight so that she could go home. She needed to go home.

Just as she got everything back, she lost it once more.

» ADDITIONAL NOTES
So the cool thing about Fire Emblem: Awakening is that you can marry people and stuff! Lucina however is a future child of Chrom and whoever his wife is, which can be either a female my unit, Olivia, Sumia, Maribelle, Sully or the generic maiden. Basically, I’m going to leave Lucina’s mother and sibling a bit vague ( though in my playthrough I have Chrom and Olivia paired together, with Inigo as her brother and Lucina married to the avatar ) so in case of possible castmates and stuff who want to discuss possible pairs with me. /o/
